Erie's Black Wall Street will kick off the VIEWS Festival with Ode' to the Streets, a celebration of the various contributions to urban dance culture by trailblazers and pioneers in Erie, PA. This event will honor the creators of this vibrant dance culture through a special rose ceremony. This is a unique opportunity to pay tribute to those who have contributed to the growth and evolution of Street Dance in Erie. It will also showcase the incredible talents of local dance troops and B-boys!
This dope event is happening on June 1, 2023 at H O Hirt Auditorium from 6pm to 8pm. Ode' to the Streets is an opportunity to experience the energy and passion of urban dance, while supporting the growth of the local arts community. Synonymous is a chance to get up close and personal at the King's Rook Club with Erie's Hip Hop scene. The two day event will include live musical performances, while also vibin' with DJ's, breaking with B-Boy's, and networking with producers and engineers. Don't miss this event celebrating all things hip hop on Friday, June 2nd and Saturday, June 3rd at 1921 Peach Street.

The Grounded Block Party is an outdoor printmaking workshop and demonstration hosted by Grounded Print + Paper Studio, during which a 48" asphalt roller will be used to create large format block prints.

Visionary Views of Fashion is a two day pop-up market at 1020 Collective presenting regional streetwear and apparel brands. Meet and support streetwear and apparel designers and retailers at this inaugural event on Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 4th at 1020 Holland Street.

Unboxed is a visual exhibition at City Gallery exploring the social history and design aesthetics of sneakers. The exhibition features more than 100 sneakers, including iconic and rare shoes, from Erie-based collectors. The opening reception is Thursday, June 8 at 1503 State Street.

The Bencher's Union started as a small circle of friends that came together to paint a wall. The first year's location was the former Raven's Sound in the Hill District. Following that, the collective centered their efforts around the railroad overpasses in Downtown Erie that run over State, Peach, and Sassafras streets. After a decade-long hiatus, the Bencher's Union returns to Downtown Erie to present All Aboard, From Rails to Alleys, through which the group will welcome graffiti writers from around the United States to create murals in the city's alleyways. Bencher's Union 2023 is made possible with additional support from Erie Downtown Partnership.

Celebrating 50 Years of Hip-Hop is an all day event presented by the Bencher's Union and hosted in Griswold Plaza by Erie Downtown Partnership. Erie's hip-hop scene has by and large been pushed to the margins as a result of a limited selection of live entertainment venues willing to showcase the musical artform. This is an opportunity to serve and showcase Erie's hip-hop in a highly visible setting.

Battle on the Bay is a live experience presented by Erie Arts & Culture at Oliver's Beer Garden featuring DJ performances and a 90-minute mural battle. The headlining performer will be DJ Ro with opening act DJ Salts. Help declare a winner of the mural battle, which will feature teams of four comprised of both Erie-based and visiting artists. The event is Sunday, June 11 at 130 E Front Street.

Creative Crowd is a monthly networking event for artists, creatives, and culture bearers hosted by Erie Arts & Culture. Happening Tuesday, June 13th at FEED Media Art Center. Come to 1307 State Street and network in a low-stress environment, with complementary light snacks and libations.
